Personal journey with bilateral plantar fasciitis surgery
Wow! It’s been just about 3 weeks since partial release plantar fasciotomy (surgery) on my right foot. It’s so much better this time!
Last time (on the left foot) nausea was really bad not only when I would get up, but going out to the doc’s. It was terrible. This time I had a little nausea, but not bad at ALL!
For about a week or so I’ve been taking pain pills less and less. For the last three days I haven’t taken them at all – now I can finally get some sleep!
The stitches are still in. They’re staying in longer this time and I think that’s a great thing. I’ll get them out in 9 days. I can move my foot a little bit, but not too much without causing pain. Of course I’m not trying to rush anything. I want this foot to heal better than the other.
I’ve been staying off my feet as much as possible. Last time I had a HUGE increase in pain in my right foot because it was bearing the full weight of my body. I don’t want to put my left foot through that while it’s still recovering itself.
I feel a lot better this time, more energetic and alert (not that I’m moving around a lot) than last time. The nutritional cleansing system I used for a few months and continue to use has proved to be incredibly helpful. I’ve also been taking Antarctic Krill Oil (women’s version with evening primrose oil) and that has been awesome. I took a serving twice and sometimes three times a day a few days before surgery and afterward. I continue to take 4 capsules daily (3 is a serving) now.
I’ve been taking this time to focus on my business goals and have received incredible clarity and direction on where The Irresistible Woman is going in the new year. I’m SUPER excited for how I’ll be able to help women become irresistible as well as irresistible women entrepreneurs. Lots of changes, lots of fun!!!
Lunch is on it’s way so I better end this post. I hope you are having an awesome day. Thanks for reading and sharing this with me!!!

P.S.
Wanna see pics from my surgery? We were able to get a camera in the surgery room and I have permission to post them. What do you think?
When I started thinking about having surgery for my plantar fasciitis I spent hours researching online. I could only find one personal experience with plantar fasciotomy and it hadn't been updated in a long time.
So I thought I'd chronicle my journey from beginning to end and post updates as time goes on as to how well the surgeries worked for me. I'll be having two - one surgery for each foot. I have bilateral plantar fasciitis.
I also created this blog so that my family, friends, associates and clients could easily check my progress and chat with me during recovery.
So if you're visiting this blog way after I've had surgery, I hope the information you find here helps. If you're one of my family members, friends, associates or clients, I hope you'll post lots of comments because your support will keep me going strong through post-op recovery.
Regardless of when you stop by, I'm glad you're here!

Yea! I’m so glad I found this site…I’m having the surgery on Monday (it’s Wednesday night). I’m so – SO – so tired of the constant pain and burning. I swear in the last month my whole body has begun to hurt because I can’t walk right anymore.
I hope you’re all better and out climbing mountains (or hills) again!

Hi Wendy! I apologize for not replying sooner. I see your post was back in February. How have you been since your surgery? Walking incorrectly definitely affects more than just your feet. Last year I started going to the chiropractor and it has really helped. I’ve regained some range of motion and have less pain.
