Personal journey with bilateral plantar fasciitis surgery
Hey there! Christina Wiley here. I thought I’d list some resources that have truly been helpful to me. I hope you will find them beneficial if you’re recovering from plantar fasciitis or plantar fasciotomy.
I highly recommend Dr. Vincent Marino. If you’re in northern California, contact his office for a consultation. I saw several doctors before workers comp sent me to Dr. Marino for a QME exam and was so confident in his abilities and appreciated his helpfulness that I switched my care over to him. Best decision ever.

Over the years I’ve been to several physical therapist and Edy Hayashi-Mack is the absolute best. Her staff is professional as well as friendly and helpful. People drive an hour or more to be treated by her and her staff. It’s worth it, trust me!

As I said, I’ve been treated by several physical therapists and these are TOP on my list of exercises for plantar fasciitis. No other stretches have been as effective in actually helping relieve pain and increasing range of motion.

Last year I started going to a chiropractor on a regular basis. My back began hurting because I was walking incorrectly and although treatments are not covered by insurance going is very much worth it. I won’t let an insurance company tell me what will or will not help me!
I have regained range of motion in my neck and back and have less back pain. I still have issues with my feet therefore I still have issues with my back. It’s a good thing my chiropractor is right across the street from me!

When I started thinking about having surgery for my plantar fasciitis I spent hours researching online. I could only find one personal experience with plantar fasciotomy and it hadn't been updated in a long time.
So I thought I'd chronicle my journey from beginning to end and post updates as time goes on as to how well the surgeries worked for me. I'll be having two - one surgery for each foot. I have bilateral plantar fasciitis.
I also created this blog so that my family, friends, associates and clients could easily check my progress and chat with me during recovery.
So if you're visiting this blog way after I've had surgery, I hope the information you find here helps. If you're one of my family members, friends, associates or clients, I hope you'll post lots of comments because your support will keep me going strong through post-op recovery.
Regardless of when you stop by, I'm glad you're here!
